I have a trane furnace xe80, with a cooling coil installed. First does anyone have a diagram so I know for sure which is the coil? There is a place above the fan and board with a copper pipe coming down to it, that goes in the furnace. Right below that is a plastic plug and pipe. the plug has a square top on it.
Second is how do you disassemble it to clean it. We had a leak from the copper pipe and it ruined our board which I replaced last winter. Is that the coil that needs cleaned and how do you take it apart. It says next it "coil equiped with 71 orfice.
Thank you for your help. You guys are great!

It's usually only the drain that backs up. You can cut in a 2 dollar 3/4 inch PVC "T" to act as your cleanout. The secondary drain port should be run into your secondary pan with a float switch installed. This should prevent more damaged pc boards.

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
