The blower motor on my central A/C went out a couple of months ago. Found a dead mouse had got stuck in the wheel. I got around to replacing it. When I replaced it, it would not start. The furnace will turn on, but the compressor outside will not. Can anyone help me?

Do u have any experience with a volt meter?
Does the the compressor run?
There should a smaller diameter wire that runs into the side of the outside unit, usually its ran alongside a better plastic tube containing power wires fron the outside disconnect. The seperate thin wire contains 2 smaller wires, these are the control wires.
AFTER turning off the outside discoonect(on the side of the house)take a 1/4 inch nut driver take of the access panel off the condenser amd see if those 2 wires are connected to the contactor. Also check to see if the critter chewed them. You might also check the inside breaker box, to see if breaker(DPDT) is off.
