i do not have a 24 volts at outside unit. When i press main contactor at condenser unit, compressor and outside fan start I have bypassed at the Tstat the Y and RC with small wire..BUT..my outside condenser did not start.
I have at the basement level 24 volts between R and Y. At the tstat i have 24 volts between Rc and Y at honeywell base.
My indoor fan unit is running.
WHY my compressor did not start?

Is there 24 volts where the 2 tstat wires ENTER the out door unit? Otherwise it is a broken wire between the outdoor unit and the indoor unit in the house. Chewed by rodents, dog, weedwhacker? If you have an ohm meter take the Y and C off the indoor unit and join them together. Check for continuity on them at the outdoor unit. Shut off power to indoor unit first.

yes..I have traced back the line..24 volts from condenser unit...open the ceiling in the basement and found line disconected and stapler trough it. Well i will replace it. Where this line should be connected?..Present lines are white and black..24 volts..are them colour code? I think they shoil be at R and Y at the furnace..PLEASE CORRECT ME..if i am wrong..thanks in advance..

They should be connected to Y and C at the furnace. Colors don't matter. That is how it should already be wired so why change it? Just reconnect them where they came apart and be done. I think you were mistaken in your voltage readings. If you read 24v between R and Y then I would say you have a bad stat.
