Since I turned the AC on I noticed it could not keep the house cool to my 74 degrees I have it set on. Then it got hot out and now it can't keep it under 81 and runs constantly. The unit is just under 5 years old. It's Model Number is: YCP042F1M0AC It is a Gas heater and Electric AC combo pack. The Fan on the unit turns on and everything on outside looks like it is working properly. There is only about 25% of the volume of air flow and it isn't that cool, just mildy cool. This thing use to freeze us out and did a great job, just not working this year! I also noticed the Heating/Gas bill was 3 times higher then it should of been last month!

I read other reviews and ideas and this morning I got some Coil Blaster (foam) and cleaned the AC unit thoroughly. I vacuumed all debris inside and out, rinsed, applied Coil Blaster, and rinsed for a good while until I was sure all that crap was out. The thing didn't look all that dirty, but didn't cost more then the $6 can of Coil Blaster and a morning to clean and wash out.

I also replaced the main filter with a cheap one figuring I'd give it the most volume. I let it dry for 2 hours and then started the unit back up. I looked under the house and didn't notice any loss of air and checked the return hose and it was hooked up good. I checked and none of the cob webs were moving/swaying which I found happens when you have a leak or hose that came off.

Can anyone help? It is currently 90 in Carolinas with 2 kids in house, isn't working well! Plus the Air Conditioner people can't come out for a WEEK!

Does anyone have any more suggestions? If there is anything else I can try I would be more then glad to do so. I am fairly handy, just need a guide or someone to lead me in the right direction.

I appreciate anyone's help!
