I replaced my regular thermostat with with a Lux programable thermostat this winter. All worked well. Went to turn on the AC this week, and nothing (blower won't even kick). Since I replaced it in the winter, I don't remember what wires came from where on the old one, so I am not sure if the wiring is standard color scheme or not. I have just a gas furnace and central air. Here is a pic. Any ideas?\
My wires are G,W,Y,R,Black. Also a blue, orange and brown, probably not used
The thermostat has a G,Y,W, RC and RH connection
From all I can read, I should have G to G, Y to Y, W to W, and R to RC with a Jumper to RH.
Thanks for your help

OK, Picture didn't come out clear on the furnace thermostat connection point, easier to explain.
Standard looking bar terminal mount.
5 Connectors
R - Red wire Y - Yellow wire G - Green wire W - White wire C -Black wire

While I cannot rule out your budget brand stat as the problem, it appears that you have wired it correctly.
Will anything work now? Did you tape off the black (common) wire? If it shorts to the terminals in use, it can damage a fuse or transformer.

I have been on vaca for a week, and just getting back to looking at this. So, if my wiring looked ok, any suggestions, or call a heating/coolong guy? How would I hook back up the original, Totaline p474-0100 digital stat? It has connection posts for R,G,Y1,W2,W1,Y2, AND C.
Thanks for the help.
