My issue is a little like Craig1972, except instead of working then dying, mine just doesn't come on. The heat pump worked fine all winter but the first time I turned on the AC, nothing happened. Since neither the fan or compressor come on at all, I figured it is all electrical. I've checked the breaker and have removed the thermostat, jumpered the Y & R connections, and nothing happened. Hardwired and nothing happened at all? Now I'm stumped. I'm a mechanical engineer with a small amount of electrical experience/training, so this is out of my league. Any ideas?
