hi i am/have been working on a goodman split system heat pump one of the older ones with no controll board just sequencers.this thing has blew 3 transformers in about a month and a half.it will work fine for a week or so then it goes out.i am thinking maybe a nick in the wire but i dont know.any thoughts?

Use 2 spade connectors to install a 5 amp, blade type, automotive fuse between the transformer and R.
The damged control wire is probably by the outdoor unit.
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
