I have a RUUD URGG-10E43JKR 3.5 Ton A/C Gaspack. Last year the compressor was replaced and everything was working great. This year when I turned the unit on, it was cooling OK, but not great and I noticed the compressor and line that leaves the compressor was frozen. So I turned it off and started troubleshooting. First thing I checked was the filter inside the house and it was dirty so I changed it. I also to the top cover of the unit off and sprayed the coils to make sure they were clean. After running the unit some more its still freezing up. I discovered that there are 2 vents in the floor that are intakes and should have filters on them, but never have. I've been in the house for only 2 years and there weren't any filters when I moved in so I didn't know. So my question is:
1. What/where would I clean the unit since it didn't have filters in place?

Is your blower wheel running? Is the unit properly charged with refrigerant?
If it ain't broke don't fix it!

you will need to clean the a-coil/indoor coil.
