I have a new 3 ton goodman cased coil with a piston diameter of .074. I have a one year old maytag 13 seer 3 ton condenser. The coil is R22/R410 compatable. I just hooked up the coil the other day and everything seems to be working fine but the pressure line shakes and I can feel the refrigerant surging thru the line. Is this normal or is the piston the wrong diameter. thanks in advance, mike

Try this: Go to your front yard. If you can't hear it then it is OK.

It is normal for a piston. Try insulate/isolate it where it comes thru the sheet metal with some armaflex insulation and elsewhere.
