Outdoor condenser trips breaker after running for 20 minutes.
work performed:
>cleaned condenser coils with garden hose and compressed air.
>checked start run cap, read 47 uF.
>checked fan run cap, read 5uF.

Also, after running unit for 10-15 min, i placed my hand around 7/8ths gas line coming off compressor and it's warm.
Shouldn't it be ice cold at that point.
Can it be just low on freon?
How can check the pressure and add r-22 myself?

Thx.

just check the amp draw on the unit while it is runing it may just be a weak breaker

Get a HVAC license. It would be cheaper to just call someone that already has one.

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.

Thank You for reminding me to call a tech. It never crossed my mind.

If the gas line is warm to the touch...it's probably low on freon.
I have a gauge for it... What is nominal static pressure ?
