my old system is an Armstrong, 2 1/2 ton, 10 seer heat pump that was new in 1996. The windings in my old heat pump compressor went out causing the breaker to trip. A local hvac company came out and replaced the outside unit with a Weathering, 2 1/2 ton, 13 seer unit. I was told by the installer that it is a matched system but I dont see how it can be. The manufacturers warranty is void if the system is not matched properly. My old system is an Armstrong model # SHP10a30a-1b, the new outdoor unit is an Weatherking model # 13PJA30a01.
