I have a Rheem 41-20804-15 thermostat and want to replace it with a Honeywell RTH230B1006. The old thermostat has the following wiring: G-green wire; R-red wire; B-blue wire; Y-yellow wire; W2-white wire with another white wire jumpered to E; X-brown wire.

The new thermostat only has room for 5 wires and is as follows: Rh; Rc; W; Y; G. I'm pretty sure the R from the old goes to Rh & Rc new (jumped together) and the G old-G new and Y old-Y new. Other than those 3, I'm not quite sure what goes where next. Does this even seem compatiable? If so, please help. Thanks a bunch!

Evan

Your new thermostat is not compatible with your heatpump system.

I feel like a parrot repeating this so much...

Your new stat is not compatible with your multistage heatpump. I recommend the Honeywell RTH7400. (Set option 170 to 7, option 190 to 1, 240 = 9.

Terminal = wire
G = green
Rc & R = red
O/B = blue
Y = yellow
Aux & E = white
C = brown

That Rheem will use C for brown. Blue connects to O/B.
