I live in a two story home with a seperate ac unit for upstairs and down. Noticed the other day that 1 of the 10 vents upstairs was blowing out warm air when the ac was on. all other vents were blowing cool air. What would cause this? Thanks.

Should not be possible unless you have an extra electric booster element in that duct and it is stuck on. Warm as compared to what temp of the others? Put a thermometer in them and compare. Some will be colder as they have better flow and are closer to the furnace/air handler.

Thanks Yuri. I just crawled up in the attic and noticed that the tube had been disconnected from the vent opening. It was blowing cold air, just into my attic. Which was actually forcing the warm attic air into my bathroom upstairs. Looks like I need to fix this ASAP, before the 120 degree weather in AZ. Thanks for the reply.
