I attempted to turn on my ac, and nothing happened. When I went outside to check it out, I noticed that there were two small wires(white and red)hanging from the house, as if they were connected to the ac. When I opened up the panel to the ac, I can see where the wires were connected. I connected it back up, and the ac ran for a few minutes, but quickly shut off. I also noticed that my blower motor quit working, as I usually run it without the ac on to circulate air in the house, as I'm a smoker, but every since this day the blower hasn't been running either. After reading the schematics, I wanted to know if it was possible that I somehow damaged the contactor, as it seems to be open, as I pushed it in with a screw driver, and everything fired up. I'm not sure if the blower motor came back on, as I was outside where the ac is located when I pushed the contactor back in. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

FYI...I just put that blower motor in last year, and I haven't had any problems out of it until now.

it might just be the low voltage fuse.or a bad transformer. If you post the make and model # of the furnace, someone might be able to help you.

"I connected it back up, and the ac ran for a few minutes, but quickly shut off" Seems the low voltage is ok. Turn the furnace/air handler power off for 5 minutes to reset the control board. Now at the thermostat set the Fan to ON, not auto. Does the indoor blower run now? If not, at the thermostat, call for heat. Does the motor run now?

If the motor does not run in either case, you need to investigate that there is power to the blower motor. If there is no power something may be wrong with the control board. If there is power, then possibly you need a new run capacitor.
