All of a sudden, my evap coil is dripping condensate. The coil is shaped like an inverted V with the blower pulling up through the coil. Coil is not freezing and appears to be very clean. In fact, you can clearly see through the fins that the wet coil is interupted in two places by two dry tube runs where condensate refuses to drain past and drips straight off. Fan speed (from hi to low) has no effect, still hangs up and drips off coil at dry tubes. Same phenomenon on both halves of coil.
Besides the obvious question of what would cause this, barring some physical obstruction, why will the condensate not drain past the "dry" coil section.
Thanks for any suggestions.

if the coil is not wet all over you probably have blocked capillary tubes and the refrigerant should be pulled and purged with nitrogen to clear those tubes if possible, also make sure the coil is level, that would be a good place to start

Normally the coil should be all wet unless it is low on freon or has some weird airflow pattern over it? Take some digital pics of it if you can and post them at photobucket. Copy the IMG code and paste it here and maybe we can look at it. Is the drain line/hose open and unplugged/ flowing?
