We recently got a new home, but seems like the a/c could blow a lot stronger than it does, in some rooms we can hardly feel air coming out, the a/c looks new, we were told that some units have a switch or something to make the motor go faster but we don't have any idea where to look for that switch, we have a reem 3.5 ton we apresiate any help we can get

Most systems use high speed for a/c. If airflow is not good at some vents then you should look for a damper to each vent right where it connects to the main trunk. Make sure they're open, they could be closed. Is that a zoned system?

Hello,

I am in no way an A/C tech, but I have had the same problem.First make sure that you have a new filter. Second go into the attic or wherever the furnace unit is and locate the air handler. (Its connected to the end of the furnace) Check to see that all the ducting is solid, as sometimes cheap duct tape is used. If you find any ducting loose, get the shiny silver tape. Its harder to use, but sticks much better and longer. Lastly,if you can, open the door to your furnace and see if there is a dirty filter in there, also look to see if there is anything blocking the fan. I had a filter size piece of insulation that dropped right on top of the squirrel cage, talk about low air flow! Good luck!
