Model HP21-511-4P

Outside unit won't come on, inside air handler will. Noticed bad capacitor (bulging) and replaced it and starter cap. Still won't come on. I checked the line voltage coming in and it's 240vac. By pressing the relay supplied with 240vac closed manually, the unit comes on. There is a transformer that has 24vac on input(?) and output is connected to the relay that's not tripping.

Not sure where to go from here. Does the transformer with 24vac supply the trigger voltage that makes the relay close? If so, since I can manually close the relay and make the unit come on and since the input voltage of 24vac is present on the transforer, does this indicate a faulty transformer? Or am I way off?

Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

The high pressure switch could be tripped, it should be a red switch with red rubber button sticking out the end, try pushing the rubber button in. The control board could also be bad not allowing the contactor to energize. If the unit starts with because the pressure switch was tripped, you will need to have a service tech look at the system and determine why it tripped.
