Upgrading my thermostat, currently i have a "Robertshaw 9520". I just bought a honeywell RTH7000. Having some trouble on the wireing any help would be great, thanks.

C = blue
G = green
Y = yellow
O/B = orange
Rc & R = red
Aux = white
E = brown

Wire it as shown here except that it looks like your E may be brown.


You must configure this stat for heat pump operation.
option 170 = 7
option 190 = 0
240 = 9 (if you have electric heat backup)

Well wired it all up like the pretty picture, i got nothing working, no AC, Fan, or Heat. Did i trip something perhaps, I've checked the breaker in my primary fuse box. any ideas?

Tip of the day, remember to remove power first.

Everything but Ruud, Rheem, American Standard, and Trane will probably need a blade type automotive fuse in the circuit board to your indoor unit, 3 or 5 amp.


The 4 listed brands don't always have a fuse and may need a transformer.

Trane fancoils used a 3 2/10 amp buss fuse


Some fancoils have a low voltage reset button...


If your fancoil is almost 20 years old it will probably need a transformer.

Please tunr off power first whenever you work on the system.
