the home i recently purchased has a forced air heating system and recently had installed a central airconditioning unit. There are 3 zones with programmable thermostats. For heating the thermostats were switched to heat and the fan switch to auto. I had no problems with the heat and fan during the cooling season.

In the summer the I can;t figure out how to make the fan work automatically. The a/c goes on fine but the fan does not seem to go on from the progammable thermstats. The only way the fan goes on is if I push a button on the "boiler" unit that says push for manual control.

Is there any way to have the fan and airconditioner go on automatically when the temperature hits the set point?

thank you

I'm going to guess that you have only 3 wires to each stat from the zone panel. To control the fan you would need a 4th wire to one stat and possibly a relay depending on what zone panel you have.
