I have a Janitrol furnace Model (gpm100-3) and a 2/12 ton Goodman condenser model (gsc 130301) the Thermostat is a honeywell model (RTH 7000). The furnace was installed about 10yr ago. the A/C was added 2yr ago. The cooling seems to be very poor to me. The installer says it's fine and every thing is normal. I pulled out the manuals and found that the furnace is equipped with a 2 speed blower. does the furnace need to be setup for 2 speeds, now that there is an A/C unit, maybe rewiring or moving a jumper etc. I checked the 4 wires leading to the thermostat and the programming and it is correct. Thanks.

It is prewired for a different heating and cooling speed. Nothing you need to do. Check the temp differential between the supply and return air ducts with a cooking type thermometer. It should be between 15-20 deg F. If less then the unit may be low on freon. Wash out the outdoor coil with a garden hose and NO pressure washer. Makes a big difference. Call another tech if necessary.
