We just got a Ruud Ultra series 90 plus installed yesterday. After the guy installed it he said he had it on "high" for now.. leave it and the next day we could lower it. NOw we are thinking he ment the fan speed???? It is suppose to be quiet, just above a whisper, and at a point it is louder then that.... we were not shown how to turn it from High to Low as there are no switches. Did he mean run it high... as in setting the air lower so it would run more?? We have a Honeywell programable themosat and I noticed on the back there is a button with FUEL near it.. there is an F at one end and an E on the other... it is on the "f" would that be it?? FULL and economy????

Usually "E" is for an electric furnace which that stat can be used for. Get the clown back to explain how to use the furnace properly or complain to his boss. You paid good $$ for it? Or withhold payment and that will get their attention. Make sure they check the temp rise thru it and the manifold gas pressure(s). Otherwise it may never work properly and blow limit controls.

Thanks... we did get in touch with the boss and he is coming Monday to see what the guy did. He said it shouldn't of been set to high... and he will re set it.
