I noticed last night that we had no cool air coming from our vents. I went to check the outdoor unit this morning and saw that the fan had stopped. After reading some entries in this forum, I was able to start the fan manually. However, after running for nearly an hour, we still have no cool air. The outdoor unit is a Payne, model #: P10JAO36-E this maybe coincedental, but my wife noticed a puddle of water as a result of a leak coming from our indoor unit in the garage.
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot

you may have a clogged drain line from your indoor unit, causing condisate to come through your secondary into the drain pan on your indoor unit, causing the float switch to turn your unit off. If so, try to blow through the drain from your indoor unit to try to clear it.

Your fan is probably going to have to be replaced soon, too, keep an eye on it.BTW that was supposed to be condensate in my answer.

Excuse my ignorance...would the drain issue be the source of the outdoor fan and cooling problem?
Thanks a lot

"causing the float switch to turn your unit off". Safety float switch will shut your unit off to prevent further water damage from overflowing due to 1st drain plugged.

yep...there was major blockage. I flushed out the pipe and reinstalled it. I've turned the unit back on, but I still had to manually start the outdoor fan. Should it start cooling soon?

you may just have a bad capacitor on your outdoor unit, but I suspect a new fan motor is in your near future.
