Help I am trying to change out a old Lennox thermostat with a new Hunter thermostat and I am not sure where all the wires belong. The connections on the old Lennox are as follows---
Y-orange wire
V-Blue wire
X-yellow wire
F-green wire
R-white wire
M-Red wire

Any help would be appreciated.

That Lennox alternate wiring gives even seasoned pro's a headache.

I hope your new stat supports multistage heat pumps. (I bet it doesn't since most models do not support multistage heatpumps)
New terminal = color (Function)
W2 & E = orange (auxillary heat) use a jumper wire
R = blue (24 VAC)
C = yellow (24 VAC common)
G = green (fan)
O = white (reversing valve)
Y = red (compressor)







These will not work..

















The model number of your new stat would have helped.
