my husband weed wacked a wire to the central air unit. i think its a thermostat wire. it is brown with a red and white wire inside. its a nordyne 10 seer standard efficiency split system central air unit model s3qa-030ka with a coleman furnace eb15b and thermostat. we cut out the bad part of the wire and rewired it (exactly how it was to begin with. red wire to the black and white wire to the yellow) to the unit and won't work. furnace won't turn on. the inside or outside fan won't turn on. the circuit breakers in breaker box and on furnace are fine. can't find a reset switch or fuses. the wires are too small for inline fuse. you can here the furnace hum but won't kick on. the manual i recieved tells how to install it and thats all. the service numbers i have are for parts only.i can't find a service manual online anywhere. the website asks for a contractor password.please help. i don't have much money so i would like to try to fix it myself before i call a service man

look for an automotive type fuse on the board inside the unit.if no board then transformer probably fried, you will need a meter to check this.also fuse and transformer will be in inside unit
