Furnace blower/fan does not run when t-stat set to 'cool' and fan set to 'auto' (outdoor condenser and outdoor fan does come on and run with this setting) -- Furnace blower/fan does run normal when t-stat set to 'on' and also when t-stat set to 'heat' and fan set to 'auto' --
Changed t-stat but same condition --
Any idea what the problem could be ??
(York P1DUC* furnace/ Honeywell programmable t-stat)

Your info is incomplete . Still we donot konw how old is your system and It has control board or not. Black wire of blower motor which should be connected to cool terminal of the board is your high speed tab.

furnance is 8 years old -- it does have a control board (seems to be more of electronic solid-state board -- do not see any relays)-- the fan motor runs when power is jumped to the cooling tab
