I have a trane xe 800 that is stop blowing air after 45 min. It sounds kinda wierd probably but there was a hose hooked up at the furnace that ran to a drain for the condensation to drain out of the system. The unit has run fine since we bought the house. I noticed that the hose had a kink in it and now I have problems with the sysyem. I have noticed that it will run and blow fine for about 45 mins. and then there is no air coming from the vents. I went out and checked the unit which was still running along with the furnance unit. When I looked closer at the outside unit I noticed that there was Frost building up on the 1/2" copper pipe that was exposed where it enters the unit. If I shut off the unit for a while it will run again when turned on.(about 45mins.) I have also noticed frost on the pipes in side the unit looking down thru the fanAny suggestions? Thanks

low charge,dirty filter,dirty coil could cause unit to freeze up.

Can I try to clean coils and filters. If so how? I have a filter on the cold air return. Is this filter you mean?
