It is a 240 v. unit. I had to repair a hole I the condensor. I need to put power on the unit so I can charge the unit. but the cord was taken off because they thought it could not be fixed.
I have messed up and put my reply in the wrong place. This is my first time and it was a stupid move. but if you can help it would be greatly appericated.

Since there is no information to go on, you will have to hope you can see where the original power chord connected. Hopefully there is a hole through which the chord went. Open the unit and look for signs of cut wires. There should be three... green (ground), white (neutral) and black(hot). I am assuming a 120 volt unit. Be careful... without the wiring diagram (and you can't get that without make/model) you're only doing an educated guess at best.
Why was the power chord removed in the first place? Maybe the unit was dead and you're wasting your time. Just a thought
