HELLO ALL, and thanks in advance for those who look and help. I have troubleshot my system till I am blue. Here's what is happening. The relay/contactor goes offline randomly. The old one blew apart so i have replaced the old contactor and have now feel it is the short cycle timer (SCT) that is kicking the contactor offline. I don't believe there is a high enough current draw from the compressor to cause the shut off. I do know that the tranformer is sending 27 VAC not 24 VAC, to the contactor and the SCT. Would this 3 volts be making havoc for the contactor/SCT. If I disconnect the timer, the unit runs w/o fail. With it plugged in the unit will come and go randomly. thanks again.

Hi,
Then wouldn't it be the SCT a suspect? Higher voltage means not enough draw of current at the load side. Open or lower than normal load will show higher voltage

"If I disconnect the timer, the unit runs w/o fail."

What does that tell you? Replace the timer... voltages are fine.
