I have an expansion valve that has 2 cap tubes--one goes in the center of the expansion valve body and the other cap tube goes to both a sensing bulb and the top of the expansion valve head. Both cap tubes go to the suction line. My question is does the sensing bulb go before or after the cap tube feeding the expansion valve?

There is not much difference in which it is located. My personal preference is to locate the sensing bulb on the coil side of the equalizer line fitting. I have only seen neglible differences in the two locations as far as operation.
