Last night the transformer across the street sparked and knocked the power out in our neighborhood. A few seconds later the power returned but within a few minutes our A/C vent had smoke like stuff coming out w/ a terrible smell...does this sound like a costly problem???? We have a Trane if that helps.

Turn the system OFF and have it checked!
