frosted suction line,low side 45,head is 275,outdoor temp 80,good airflow,clean filter,suction line temp 44,liquid line temp 80,70 degree air from supply vents. r-22 030 17 year old split sys.any ideas would be appreciated

restriction put hand across evap coil feel bottom then top if their is a difference in temp either restricted metering devise or coil

Recheck your temps. Suct. wont freeze at 44deg. What is the superheat? Sounds like a restriction. Check for a temp. drop across the liquid line drier.
