Hello everyone,
I found this forum via google and I thought I'd ask a couple questions. First of all, I have a Bryant Plus 90 furnace that worked well until this spring. It would light up the pilot, then nothing else. So I bought a new pilot assembly with flame sensor in it.
I changed that today, and the furnace works again BUT the ignitor seems to constantly click until the big burner starts.
So here is my sequence: 1) exhaust fan 2) click, then the ignitor starts going 3) after about 9 or 10 ignitor snaps the pilot flame is on and the ignitor keeps clicking 4) about 20 or so seconds later the main burner turns on, and the ignitor stops clicking
Then the furnace cycles through like it is supposed to. It just seems like the ignitor is working a lot more than it should be, but maybe this is normal?
Do you have any suggestions / recommendations? Thanks in advance for the help.
-Bob

What year, what controller, how good is the ground? Should have checked the secondary heat exchanger first as you are pre '92.
