i recently went to a house where to make a long story short had a set of bad contactsafter replacing and telling the homeowner what i found he said there was a different company 3 weeksbefore done the same thing these contacts where burnt badly when taking then off the wires werent real tight the voltage was normal and the breaker sizes were correct could it just have been loose wires?

What was your starting amperage?
Can rain get to the contactor?
You might check for melted wiring at the compressor terminals.
