It's a 1/3rd HP A.E.Smith,5-3/8" enclosed fan motor in the 11 year old condenser unit outside. It is installed up side down from the grill at the top and the fan blades at the lower end.

Does it need to be oiled? If yes - how and from where?

If it has an oil plug, then yes, a few drops is fine. More than likely it has sealed bearings, which don't get oil.
