I was trying to change my thermostat to a newer model and the fan will not come on... We tried putting on the old thermostat again and the fan will not come back on. Can anyone help????? I am sooo frustrated!!!!

Did the fan work before hand? If so, sounds like you mis-placed the fan wire "G". Typically green. Measure 24v at G & C terminal at furnace. If 24v, bad blower relay or motor. If not, read on. Bad wire, thermostsat, or misplaced wire. Hope this helps.

the fan did work before we started to put the new thermostat on. but even when we put the old thermostat back on it, the unit will still not kick on. if it is a 24v how do we check the motor or blower?

If the entire unit (both furnace & a/c)are not working, Check for bad fuse (mini 3 or 5amp on control board) if no fuse, may have ruined your transformer. Did you shut off power to the unit before replacing thermostat.
