Hi everyone. Okay, here's my dilemma. I rent a room with a large through the wall air conditioner. The kind you would commonly find in apartments from the 1970's. Which, coincidentally, is approximately how old this unit is. The lady I rent from has never changed the filter, and she has no idea where the manual is. The only information I can find on the unit, is that it is a "Carrier" brand. No model number, or anything. I want to change the filter, but I have never done that on any unit before, let alone such an usual style for today. I haven't been able to find anything on Carrier's site, and I was hoping that someone might be able to help, or at least give me a lead where I could do more research. Thanks so much. - John.
Ignorant and trying to fix it.

Usually they slide in from the top of the unit (looking at it from inside the room). Chances are it ain't there because someone took it 20 years ago. Finding one....You'll have better luck trying to beat micheal phelps in swimming.
Good Luck
