Replacing Rheem Air Handler - or just Coil? - http://www.hvacmechanic.com/ Forums

There is a leaky coil in an old Rheem 3-Ton 10-Seer air handler, model RHQA-1305B FV. Would it make sens to replace just the coil or the entire handler? What would be a good replacement, since the air handler is old and obsolete? Thanks.
Reason for the question is, the replacement air handler is 13 seer. I am getting conflicting views about whether it is okay to use a 13 seer air handler with a 10 seer outside unit.

I would highly recommend replacing the entire air handler unit, not just the coil. I would also recommend replacing the entire system, if finances allow to get a matched system.
