Hi all,
This is my first problem hence my first post. :)
I'm pretty technical but I just don't anything about this stuff.

I have a Model 58Wav Upflow Furnace
My unit turns on and it sounds like the blower is running fine but no air is blowing out of the wall vents.

I honestly don't even know where to start. Is there a checklist of things I can look at? Thanks for your detailed answers. I don't post and run so please check back.

Is there ice around the large copper pipe between the house and condenser? Air filter clean?

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.

Air filters are clean.
Here is what the unit looks like but there is an extension above mine covering the large square opening that's not in the image that is very cold.

if your sure the blower motor is working, turn on the heat for 20 minutes, then go back to cool.if this fixed the problem, then the unit is probably low on charge.oh,yeah.make sure the filter on the furnace is clean.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that in a minute.
I did figure out that the above compartment houses the condenser which was covered with ice. I left it off all day and could actually hear pieces of ice falling off. It was melted by the end of the day and when I turned it back on I could actually feel a little breeze from the nearest vents. However my house never actually cooled down.

Let's hope you're right about the charge :)

Ok looks like that made a big difference!
I'm not sure if air is blowing out of the vents as strong as it used to but could just be me.

So if it was a matter of low charge, what is that a symptom of?
Should I think about replacing something or is that just a normal occurrence from time to time?
