1. Is a Trane TTB030C a heat pump or an AC condenser? I need a 10 seer 2 1/2 or 3 ton heat pump for our house. 2. What inexpensive programable thermostat can I use with a heat pump unit. Model no. please. Thanks.

The TTB is not a heatpump.
I recommend a Honeywell RTH7400, it is not a cheap stat but you can depend on it.
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
