MY TRANE WEATHERTRON HEAT PUMP RUNS CONTINUALLY while in the cooling mode,the thermostat works properly because the air handler turn on and off at the set tempature, but the compressesr on the outside unit runs constantly, the only way I can turn it off is to turn off the disconnect switch.

You have a bad contactor and should be replaced , by someone who is qualified to check out system.
