Anyone have any experience with the touch screen thermostats. Having a 5 ton and 2 ton Air Ease heat pumps installed and am considering touch screen thermostats from either white rodgers or honeywell. I have no problem going back to a soft key programmable stat, but the display on these touchscreens appears a bit larger which would be easy on my 53 year old eyes...Just curious what the advantages to the touch screens might be and which of the two brands would be best. Thanks

Roland

The Honeywell TH8000 (3 heat 2cool) is the best. One thing about them is that you can add (purchase in addition to) an outdoor thermostat. I have one in my home and that is all i use in the field for replacements or new installs. Here is the link www.honeywell.com

You have to have a 3heat 2cool if you have auxillary heat. Which all heat pumps do. If you are using an interior sensor though you cannot have both. Any questions just ask.

Hi,
Honeywell Vision Pro line. Beeb using 8000 model. Armchair programming, never had problem since installed. Just pick the right one for your system.

The Honeywell Visionpro TH8320 and the TH8321 will support your system. The TH8110 will not.
