Using these forums and the instruction book I just attempted to replace an older Trane Weathertron thermostat with the Hunter 44860.

I've read and reread the forums and book and am very sure the wiring is done correctly however I can not get the air conditioning, fan or furnace to come on.

Am I overlooking somethings simple, or have I blown something up?

Any suggestions would be of help.

Thanks...

Sounds like you blew a 3 or 5 amp car fuse on your circuit board! Did you not turn the power off to the furnace before you wired in the new stat?

If it ain't broke don't fix it!

It's probably a low voltage fuse in the air handler.
Trane usually uses blue for common, if common is miswired it can pop a fuse. Did you remove power to the air handler before replacing the stat?

If you have a Trane fancoil as old as that stat it may be this one. If the air handler is newer it will probably be a blade type automotive fuse.

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
