Is there a benefit to adding 2inch corner plastic feet to furnace prior to installation, in a basement application? The basement has never had a trace of water on floor, flooding not an issue, will adding the feet raise or lower cabinet noise??Second question, what is the best sealant for the furnace to coil seam, high heat silicone, alluminum tape ??? Thanks for your educated responces

Most companies are now using feet on basemant applications to keep the bottom of the furnaces from rusting out. At least that is the main reason in this area. Rubber pads would be for noise reduction.

The feet are to reduce noise nothing elce. There is a sealant you can buy for a reasonable price duct seal, problem it comes in gallons only I would do the entire duct system with it. If youo only want to do the coil use silicone caulk.
