i have a ruud furnace w/spark ignition when it gets a call 4 heat the ignitor sparks and the gas valve clicks but it wont light the pilot. i have 24 volts on one of the terminals on the valve as soon as it clicks. any ideas? this furnace is equiped with a robertshaw ignition control box part#sp715a. if you can help it would be greatly appreciated!

have you checked if you have fuel/LPG?
maybe the fuel valve is closed.

If that spark is lighting a pilot, you may have a dirty pilot orfice which means the pilot would need to be pulled apart and cleaned.
If in doubt call a pro !
