Thermostat is telling furnace to kick on,burner ports blowing pilot light strongly towads combustion chamber,just no ignition.

as ignition is working, no gas is the problem. check gas valve for voltage or if gas pressure is appropriate.

I like fixing everything.

post the model#serial # and make of furnace.natural gas or propane?look for #s on inside of burner area on the sides (inside)
