I had a heat pump installed but what the service guy did doesn’t add up vs. what the electrician I had out doing some other work told me they did wrong. It is a 3.5 ton heat pump (split) with electric heat backup. The outside unit 30 amp breaker using 6/2 wire, was told ok, but inside unit running 6/2 wire with 90 amp breaker. The electrician said no more than a 60 amp breaker should be on 6/2 wire. He said the wire size should have been 2/3 for that breaker size. Please tell me if this is right before I confront the a/c guy.

is the 6-2 wire copper or alum?
If copper it is good for up to 65amps, alum is good for 55amps
