I am currently getting multiple estimates for a new furnace for my house. I want to replace the furnace before I sell the house, it will go on the market in the next year. Can anyone tell me the differences between the Trane xr90 and the Goodman gmh95? Im getting the furnace installed with 2 new 10 foot long 6 inch heat runs into the room I finished in the basement and a new digital thermostat, I got a price of $1895 for the Trane and $2109 for the Goodman. Whats the better deal? Is it that much of a big difference that the Trane is single stage and the Goodman is dual stage? And is there that big a difference that the Trane is actually 92.5% AFUE and the Goodman is 95% AFUE?
Thanks

typically at least by consumers trane is reconigezed as a much better product than goodman. Dual stage just means high and low fire, the furnace will try to meet the demand of heat by low fire, when it cant maintain or satisfy load in house the second stage (normal for any other single stage furnace} is energized. The Trane is a proven product Goodman on the other hand which I feel okay carrys the name from their offknock as JanTrash Junkitrol.
