My Outdoor unit will come on provide heat pipe gets hot for around 5 mins or so and compressor will cut off when I reset the same thing will happen again. Any ideas as to what is causing the compressor to reset?
The unit is 6 years old and 4 ton.

Im assuming your resetting by the red button on heat pump. If so this is a high pressure control. Check system charge to verify head pressure is reaching over 350psig. Next determine cause, if head pressure rises very fast check for blower motor dropping out. If it rises slowly check for restrictions in refrigerant circuit.
