I have a hot water heating system with an expansion tank that is going to need replacement real soon. The tank is 12" in diameter and 5' long. The old tank doesn't have an air fitting, so i don't think is pressurized. My question is , how can i determine the best replacement tank for my system. Most of the tanks i see are much smaller and are pressurized.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why does the tank need replacing? If it's water-logged, drain it and you're good to go. If you want a new pressurized tank, go online (http://www.amtrol.com/extrol.htm) and read the specs for various tanks. The one that's right for your system (we don't know about your system) should be obvious. Good luck.
