Hi,

I recently change my old mercury thermostat for a RTH7500. I've Electric Heating System with Fan. I Set it up to 170=4 (Electric heat w fan) 180=1 Electric (thermostat control fan).

Everything work fine on heating cycle I have heat and fan is blowing right. But when the thermostat turn the heating off, the two relay stop (fan and heat) stop. But the internal delay of the system let the electric element progressively stop (the first one stop in sync with the blower but the 2,3,4th stop in cycle).

Is there a way to delay the fan stop a few time after the heating element?

In other term, let the G (fan) terminal active some time after the O/B-W (heat) terminal.

Thanks

So I'll have to either change my thermostat model or rewire the funace to let it handle the blower start/stop in sycn with the heating element using the sequencer relay. :(

No. The fan is wired in sequence with the sequencers which control the elements. Monkey around with it and you may backfeed the circuitry and seriously damage something.

The RTH700 series does not offer extended fan operation in the configuration menu..

The Honeywell Visionpro TH8320 and TH8110 offer extended fan with option 650.
